Pauline Ylaya, owner of Permanent Makeup Manila, has been in the beauty industry since she was 21. After graduating AB Psychology at the Ateneo de Manila University, Pauline pursued her career in the beauty industry.
Pauline has an impeccable style and an eye for beauty. Her aesthetic, one that is natural and yet refined and polished is present in her work. Minimalism describes her fashion sense and the simple yet elegant design of her studio at the Madison Galleries.
However, for Pauline, minimalism is not only aesthetically pleasing. It is also a mindset of simplifying one’s life so that she can pursue what really matters in life.

It has always been Pauline’s passion to embrace the power of permanent makeup that not only transforms a woman’s looks but also gives her a sense of empowerment in whatever she does. Not only because she is beautiful, but also because of the time she has saved to do what really finds meaningful.

Being herself, an accomplished businesswoman at 27, Pauline knows that in reality, the pre-occupation with beauty is not the all and be all of society. Pauline understands that doing well, whether in one’s career, family or education or all three is what most people keep in mind more importantly. Despite this, Pauline believes that there is no need to compromise on looking good and having time to pursue what is beyond beautiful.
In the heart of this is the trust; Pauline’s clients have placed in her throughout the years. Pauline was a bridal make-up artist and has done the makeup of hundreds of brides. She knows that trust is foremost in the relationship between a bride and her makeup artist and has remained friends with many of her clients.
This is especially true in doing permanent makeup, wherein her clients entrusts their look in the hands of Pauline. Pauline lives by the principle that there is no template for makeup and that each client has unique facial features that can be enhanced in the most natural way possible.

Ever evolving and learning, Pauline has studied the latest trends of permanent make-up and has received certifications in Malaysia, Hong Kong and most recently in Israel, the pioneer of technology, where she was named as the exclusive distributor of NPM in the Philippines.
